1% of Sales Reinvested in the Earth

nanazero is committed to contributing to the conservation of oceans and nature, its primary areas of activity.

Since December 2021, nanazero has been donating 1% of its sales to environmental protection organizations through "1% for the Planet." Our motivation for joining 1% for the Planet is to connect with like-minded companies and individuals who share our passion for protecting the beautiful Earth.

We believe that global grassroots efforts can make meaningful impacts on the planet and ultimately help foster more conscientious consumers through the products we produce. While sustainability and Earth protection are always at the forefront of our product creation, 1% for the Planet represents a commitment to continually strive to uphold these values.

What is "1% for the Planet"?

1% for the Planet (The linked external site provides information in English.) is a global network of businesses actively committed to environmental protection.

Participating companies transform their business practices to support environmental conservation and, regardless of their financial performance, donate 1% of their annual sales to nonprofit environmental organizations.

Founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of global apparel company Patagonia, Inc., and Craig Matthews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, the initiative has grown to include over 3,000 companies worldwide as of 2021. These companies have collectively contributed over $250 million to support environmental protection efforts. Despite this, environmental donations currently make up only 3% of total donations.

1% for the Planet aims to change this by promoting significant charitable activities to address the most urgent environmental issues. Focus areas for donations include climate, food, land, pollution, water, and wildlife. Members donate to partner nonprofits that meet 1% for the Planet's standards.
